Autumn Spice Blend

I love everything about the Fall season! The warmth of summer easing into autumn cool and the harvest of our hard garden work in the sun and heat. The colors, the flavors the jackets and sweaters!

This blend is one of my many ways of taking control of my ingredients. You have no control over what goes into any brand name spice blend. Sometimes I don't mind and don't want to remake everything; judge for yourself if it is more trouble than it's worth. But this Autumn Spice Blend is quite versatile. You'll find it in my Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Bread and Sweet Potato Pie recipes, as well as a couple more.

Do your best to use freshly ground ingredients for this recipe. You won't regret it!

Ingredients
  • 4 tablespoons Ground Cinnamon (Vietnamese preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons Ground Nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon Ground Allspice
  • 1.5 teaspoons Ground Cloves
Instructions
  1. Stir together all ingredients. Store in an airtight container.
